BRS Curriculum : ‘Soft Skills 101’ - for Treehouse Residents

class time : 8:30p - 9:30p

class facilitator : Jason E.C. Wright, BRS

Overview : Soft skills are defined as ‘personal attributes or learned habits that enable someone to interact efficiently and harmoniously with others’.

Mr. Wright will lead the class in unpacking two or three separate soft skills each class, ranging across :

-digital correspondence etiquette

-accountability 101 : how to own ‘I messed up’

-dining etiquette + eating out

-interview skills

-presentation skills

-texting + response times 

-the power of digital sabbatical

-the power of physical sabbatical

-time management + calendar usage

-the impact of handwriting, stationery, and the thank-you card

-spatial awareness + how you’re doing it wrong

-‘if you see it, you own it’ : paying it forward with tidiness

-how to develop into a better listener

-professionalism, presentation, + communication : knowing the difference

and, perhaps even some new ones that you bring with you.

Come learn how to be a better citizen in work, in life, in the world.
